Here at Taylion our mission is to support our students throughout their high school careers, while also helping them to prepare for life after graduation. We strive to be a holistic learning environment for our students, academically, physically and mentally. We incorporate the ideals of relationship, responsibility and respect, for all life, in our core academics. We recognize that not all students fit in a traditional school setting. It’s our mission to provide our students with the skills and tools necessary to succeed.
Our counselors are here to help students thrive in academics, in their personal lives and within their community. Our school guidance counselors are an integral part of the school setting. Guidance counselors provide assessments and advice related to the abilities of students, and help students make decisions about their futures. Our counselors can also provide support to a student, or in a small-group setting during times of stress or transition. Though counselors do not provide long-term counseling, they are professionally trained to recognize and respond to crisis situations. Counselors can also refer students and families to school or community resources for additional help or assistance and information.
