Every year Taylion requests donations from our very own students and families that will then be used to give to selected families in need this holiday season. We had a two businesses donate. $150 from Tri City Rx Pharmacy, Inc., and $50 from Costco. We used the donations to fill two bankers boxes with canned goods like corn, green beans, peach slices, etc. as well as soups, noodles, brownie mixes, etc.
We used the $167 to spend at Costco for turkeys, stuffing, mashed potatoes, sparkling cider, large pumpkin pies, etc. and then the rest at Walmart for juice and cream of chicken soup.
Brijuana and Eliza, our new Student Success Coaches, delivered the items to two families. Magdalena and I helped load the car of another family while she cried and then gave us big hugs in appreciation. It was a very touching moment.
