Taylion High Desert Academy To Hold Bookfair at the Victorville Barnes and Noble on December 8th

By March 24, 2020No Comments

On Sunday, December 8th, Taylion High Desert Academy will be hosting their annual Bookfair fundraiser at the Barnes and Noble in the Mall of Victor Valley.

“Our students love the Barnes & Noble bookfairs,” said Student Council Advisor Nolan Smith. “To be able to meet new people, socialize with their peers, wrap presents and represent the school all at the same time, it is an event our students look forward to every year.”

Students and staff from the charter school will be at Barnes and Noble beginning at 3:00 p.m. to wrap presents this holiday season. By mentioning Taylion at the time of purchase, a percentage will go towards supporting the school’s Student Council

This is the sixth school year that Taylion Academy has hosted a bookfair at the local Barnes and Noble. The Student Council is looking forward to raise funds for school field trips and activities to improve student engagement. They also look forward to raising funds to assist with a number of volunteer and fundraiser opportunities planned for the following year. Taylion’s students aim to give back to their community- this year they held a successful Socktober Sock Drive for the Inland Empire United Way, as well as assisted the High Desert Outreach Center in serving Thanksgiving dinner at the Adelanto Senior Center. They are excited to give back in an even bigger way next year.
