Taylion High Desert Academy To Hold Socktober Sock Drive to Benefit Inland Empire United Way- Desert Communities Region

By March 24, 2020No Comments

Taylion High Desert Academy (THDA) is excited to once again take part in the popular Socktober Sock Drive, as the charter school aims to collect 200 pairs of brand new socks for the Inland Empire United Way- Desert Communities Region.

“Last year we had such an outstanding showing of support from the community for Socktober,” said Evelyn Sandoval, Principal at Taylion Academy. “This year, we are excited to partner with the United Way. They do so much in the High Desert, and we know the socks we donate to the organization will go directly to community members in need.”

Socktober is a national sole warming movement that gives everyone an easy and fun way to help those in need within their very own community. As one of the most overlooked donation items, Taylion aims to help men, woman and children with sock donations, gathered throughout the month of October. Brand new socks of all sizes are welcomed.

Inland Empire United Way is committed to helping to strengthen the High Desert. Their local staff and office in Victorville are dedicated to identifying local needs, generating resources, and making a difference for High Desert residents. United Way’s mission is engaging the community to improve the lives and futures of those in need by strategically investing in education, health and financial stability.

Donations are being accepted at all three Taylion Academy locations from October 1st through October 31st. For more information, contact Taylion High Desert Academy at (760) 843-6622. Make sure to visit the charter school online at www.taylion.com.
